Oh, Rome

A small reflection from a long road.

Rome doesn't whisper. It announces.

Walking through her streets — past the fountains, the basilicas, the espresso bars no wider than a doorway — you don't admire history. You bump into it. And somewhere between the ruins of the Forum and a plate of carbonara that ruins all future versions, you start to notice that the city is doing something to you.

It isn't telling you who to be. It's giving you permission to keep becoming.

That's what good mentorship does, too. It doesn't hand you a map. It walks beside you long enough that you trust your own feet.
